Infibrity at the Rebirth Forum 2025: When Sustainable Textiles Become Cultural Material
From 3 to 7 May 2025, the Casa dell’Architettura in Rome hosted the second edition of the Rebirth Forum, an event conceived by Fondazione Pistoletto – Cittadellarte in collaboration with the Order of Architects of Rome and the Festival of Architecture. Five days open to the public, ten thematic round tables, one hundred representatives of organisations, institutions, universities, associations, and businesses: the Forum was a laboratory of collective intelligence to imagine and activate new visions for the future of the city and society.
In this context, Infibrity, the technology developed by Pratrivero Spa, was chosen as a living material for the creation of the artistic drapes that symbolically clad the event space, reinforcing the event’s broader focus on textile sustainability.
A Fabric as a Vision of the Future
At a time when the word “sustainability” risks being emptied of meaning through excessive and superficial use, Infibrity stands out for a measurable, verifiable, and documented approach.
The artistic drapes that welcomed visitors to the Rebirth Forum Rome 2025 were made with a recycled hybrid stitchbond fabric, GRS-certified and identifiable precisely as Infibrity: a material designed not only to have a low environmental impact, but also to close the circle of circularity in a concrete way, from pre- to post-consumer.
Infibrity was not simply applied as a technical support; it took on an active role, becoming the very structure of the artwork. In an event built on the dialogue between art, design, society, and the local area, the fabric visually and materially embodied the concept of interwoven collective intelligence.
Each drape gathered statements, phrases, and mottos from visual artists and became part of a widespread installation, halfway between symbolic artwork and conceptual device.
The choice of sustainable textiles reinforced the event’s message.
A Bridge between Art, Sustainability, and Industry
The Language of Transformation according to the Rebirth Forum
The Rebirth Forum is born from the method of Demopraxia, developed by Cittadellarte, an approach that places communities of practice at the centre as micro-governments capable of transforming society through everyday, collective decisions.
The thematic tables, shared manifestos, and visions produced were made visible and tangible also through the use of fabric, an expressive medium that Infibrity made consistent with the vision of the event.
The fact that a sustainable fabric was chosen in a context of cultural reflection, rather than of the market, shows how authentic sustainability does not need slogans, but occasions in which it can reveal itself for what it is.
A Bridge between Art, Sustainability, and Industry
The presence of Infibrity at the Rebirth Forum is not an isolated episode, but the sign of a paradigm shift. Sustainability cannot remain confined within the boundaries of industry or green communication: it must enter the spaces of thought, becoming shared culture, a material that touches society, architecture, art, and everyday life.
Infibrity shows that textile innovation can be technical, ethical, and symbolic at the same time.
A fabric is not just something that is used; it is something that is chosen. And when that choice is circular, verifiable, and oriented towards the future, it can become part of a broader language that connects worlds and generates meaning — a natural expression of circular textiles.
